Ophir Falk tells Israeli voters to back Netanyahu to finish job in Iran
Netanyahu's foreign policy adviser argues the current US-Israeli pairing is best positioned to remove Iran's government before the October 27 election.

Ophir Falk, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's foreign policy adviser, told Israeli voters that removing Iran's government should be a primary goal for the next leader. In written remarks sent to The Jerusalem Post ahead of Tuesday's election, Falk argued that Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump are the right team to accomplish that task.
"Removing the genocidal Ayatollah regime in Iran is in the best interests of America, Israel, and civilization," Falk wrote. He claimed that the current administration has proven it is suited for the job.
Falk framed the upcoming election as a choice about who can best coordinate with Washington. He asked voters to consider who would best cooperate with the US president to finish work in Iran and expand regional peace. He noted that the election will determine Israel's leadership during the final two years of Trump's term.
President Trump reinforced Falk's message on Sunday evening. On Truth Social, the US president renewed his endorsement of the Israeli leader. "Vote for Bibi Netanyahu for Prime Minister; we have to finish the job that we started!" Trump wrote.
Falk contrasted Trump's support with the preferences of Israel's adversaries. He stated that Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Iran all want Netanyahu to lose the vote. The adviser also described the current strategic position as strong, saying the alliance between the US and Israel has never been stronger while Iran and its proxies have never been weaker.
Falk has previously discussed the possibility of regime change in Iran. In an interview on October 15, he said the country was very close to conditions that would allow for such a shift. However, he emphasized that the final decision rests with the Iranian people. His recent comments did not specify the methods the US and Israel should use or provide a timeline for the transition.
The election is scheduled for October 27. Falk's remarks were distributed to media outlets just prior to the vote, aiming to shape the narrative around foreign policy and the US-Israeli relationship.
